It was February 10th 2001 when a former gymnast by the name of Greg Glassman first published a CrossFit workout online that has benefited the lives of so many women and men. It has since turned into over 5,500 CrossFit Affiliates worldwide.

 

The CrossFit program is not your typical fitness fad, that is hot today and gone tomorrow.

 

 

CrossFit is simply a lifestyle that encourages the promotion of a healthy life through the use of fitness and a rapidly growing community. CrossFit is the fastest growing strength and conditioning program in the world.

 

CrossFit is used by women & men who strive to have an efficient total body strength & conditioning regiment for optimal health. Promoting longevity and success in everyday physical/mental activities.

 

CrossFit has also been adapted by many police academies, tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists and hundreds of elite & professional athletes around the world. 

 

CrossFit is designed to be general, broad, and inclusive for universal scale-ability making it the perfect program for anyone from a beginner fitness enthusiast to an Olympic or professional level athlete. Workouts are typically short but very intense. 

 

The movements are a combination of sprinting, rowing, jumping, climbing ropes, flipping tires, weightlifting, carrying heavy objects and many body weight exercises. Equipment used includes barbells, dumbbells, gymnastics rings, pull-up bars, kettle bells, medicine balls and boxes for box jumps.
